I’m looking for a command line tool for converting profiles (embedded in jpeg files). Any ideas/suggestions.

If you’re on a Mac (10.3/10.4), try /usr/bin/sips.
Note that on Panther it might change your files from 16 to 8 bit – this seems to be fixed on Tiger
Imagemagick will also do color space conversions. Should work on Linix, Unix and Mac. Will preserve 16 bit files.
