GMG ProofControl

It doesnt have rules in the documentation of GMG’s ProofControl for creating custom wedges

Sometimes its just not practical to put on a control wedge on everything. Such as proofing Preps Signatures

It would be really nice if I could read the xrite color bars with proof control but it looks like there has to be a gap between patches. The documentation doesnt say this but I believe it is so.

Can anyone else get their GMG product to read without gaps between patches

Mike

Its been a long time since I’ve used ProofControl, but can’t you specify gap width (and set it to zero) when creating a colorbar?

it seems to want a minimum of .5 mm
cant find any documentation.

or very limited. This is the only GMG stuff we have so dont have a lot of contact

That may be…again, I haven’t used it since it was first released. You could measure gapless wedges patch by patch, but that’s less than fun.

The ProofControl Quickstart guide is available at www.gmgcolor.com under the support page, but you probably already have this.

I do have that very short documentation
Yes I could measure patch by patch but am trying to get this in a production area
