Measuring test charts with EyeOne Extreme

Hello,

When starting a measurement on a media wedge such as the IdeaAlliance wedge, my software (ORIS Certified proof) asks to place the EyeOne on a white reference. I always place it on the one that’s supplied with the EyeOne - the plastic one with the white reference that’s got a slot designed for the device.

Is this the correct method? I can’t imagine any other way because trying to set the device on blank paper would let ambient light into the reading. Or not. I’m not sure.

You’ve got it. You’re exactly right. When using the i1Match software, there are illustrations showing how to put the i1Pro into its “cradle” on the “white tile” so it’s a little more obvious. Apparently the ORIS software expects you to know that already.
