After I upgrade to Tiger from 10.3.9 will I have to re-profile my printer. I used a Chromix custom profile. So I can better understand all this, please explain why or why not. Thank you.

If you upgrade your current 10.3.9 system, the profiles will stay in the same place, and be used the same way. If you do a clean install, you will need to mave the profile to your colorsync/profiles folder either in the root, or your home, library folder.
You do not need a special profile for Tiger.
