XYZ space

Hello,

I have been building profiles with EFI’s color manager, which appears to use the XYZ color space.

When I load these profiles into ColorThink 2.1.2 the Neutral Gray ramp looks like an erratic heart beat. But my test images are a good match to my referrence.

Is the XYZ space to blame?

well, it shouldn’t be. It sound like the profile is probably having to do some heavy lifting to obtain neutral (or the just plain-old whacked).

The rendering of color out to XYZ rather than Lab is more of an academic issue as the CMM deals with moving it into Lab if required.

I’d like to take a look at the profile though. Can you send a copy to me directly?

Thanks,

Steve
